Ann Ragland
Ann Ragland, 69, of Elkhart, died Wednesday August 17, 2016. The Jonesboro AR native was born October 6, 1946 to Clay & Mildred (Nuckols) Chaney, who have both preceded her in death. Ann has been a local resident since 1955, having attended Elkhart Central High School and on April 2, 1964 she married Charles L. Ragland in Elkhart. She retired from Elkhart Products Co. and had also been employed by Concord Intermediate School, helping to oversee the cafeteria. Ann was a member of Riverview General Baptist Church and was known as a compassionate & giving person, always willing to help others. Ann is survived by Charles Ragland, her husband of 52 years and their children, Mark Ragland, Bryan Ragland and Steven (Tammy) Ragland, all of Elkhart; grandchildren, Taylor Ragland of Mishawaka and Bradley, Riley and Connor Ragland, all of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Carter & Deakon Ragland of Elkhart and her brothers & sisters, Geraldine Greathouse of Fairview Heights IL, Leroy Chaney, James (Ruthie) Chaney, Jeanette (Larry) Losee and Tom Chaney, all of Elkhart; Will (Dorie) Chaney of Salt Lake City UT, Sue (Jessie) Hollis and Larry (Brenda) Chaney, both of Goshen, and Carla Borzeniatow of Fairview Heights IL. Funeral Services 11:00 Saturday August 20, 2016 at Riverview General Baptist Church, 1201 E. Indiana Avenue, where friends may call for one hour prior to services. Calling also Friday from 4-8pm in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s preferred memorial is Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
