Avonn T. Pratcher
Avonn Tederio Pratcher, 45, of Elkhart, transitioned from labor to reward on Monday December 26, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital following an extended illness. He was born March 13, 1971 in Elkhart, IN to Oliver Davis & Isabella Pratcher. Along with his parents, Avonn leaves behind his devout wife Eugenia (Gina) Pratcher, five sons; Dontice Pratcher, JaQuon Neely, Nicholas Marbury, Samir Pratcher & TyQuese Pratcher; two daughters. Dextoria Pratcher & NyZeria Pratcher; Two granddaughters, Za’Hiri Pratcher-Griffin & Za’Raji Pratcher-Griffin; two brothers, Shon Pratcher of Milwaukee, WI & Obidiah Pratcher of Elkhart; two sister-in-law’s, Alicia Neely of Rockford, IN & Crystal Neely of Ft. Wayne, IN; four god-children, Nickketta Marbury, Jeff Marbury, Terry Jones Jr. & Raven Brooks; one special aunt, Mary along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Avonn accepted Christ at an early age & was a former member of Community Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed dancing and poetry was his passion. Avonn received his GED on May 30, 2013. He was extremely proud of his accomplishment. Avonn was a wonderful father and an amazing husband! He was also a very strong and determined man who loved the Lord. Every day he would wake up thanking God for another day, his family and just the gift of life. He was a proud grandfather of two beautiful granddaughters and he loved and admired his family.
Avonn will be remembered by his brother Shon for his strength and he considered Avonn his superman! His mother says, “He is in a better place and now Big Mamma & Big Daddy will take care of him.” Others will remember him for his smile, dancing skills and his ability to make people laugh.
Funeral Services 12:00 Saturday January 7, 2017 in Agape Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W Wolf Ave, Elkhart, IN 46516. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the church.
