Thomas L. Dean
Thomas L. Dean, 83, of Mishawaka, died Monday December 26, 2016. The Warsaw KY native was born June 19, 1933 to Tom & Mae (Ellis) Dean. On July 25, 1959, Tom married Elizabeth (Kincer) who preceded him in death on April 16, 2013 after 53 years of marriage. A retired foundry worker who was known to have a strong work ethic, Tom was a member of New Life Church and enjoyed working on cars & home remodeling projects as well as yardwork & gardening. Generous to family & strangers alike, Tom was devoted to his wife & family. Described as having a ‘Servants Heart” , Tom enjoyed caring for his wife and looking after his grandchildren, driving them to events whenever necessary. In addition to his parents and his wife, Tom was also preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis, J. Robert, James, Virgil & Davis; his Aunt Pansy & Uncle Homer, who raised him after his mother’s death; his best friend, Oren Grubbs and his cousin, Thomas Webster. Tom’s survivors include his daughters, Robyn (Bruce) Snyder & Melanee (Peter) Marczenko, both of Mishawaka and Heather (Mark) Engle of Shipshewana; grandchildren, Colt, Shaleigh & Gibson Snyder; Ashley & Caitlyn Marczenko and Jaxon, Max & Kate Engle; great-grandchildren, Isabella Bogunia & Madden White and his brother, Ronnie Dean in Ohio. Rev. Dr. Michael A. Cramer will officiate Funeral Services at 11:00 Saturday December 31, 2016 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. The family will receive friends from 9-11 Saturday morning at the funeral home. Entombment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
