Mykah Maverick Jackson
Mykah Maverick Jackson, age 9, of Elkhart, passed away Monday June 26, 2017. He was born in Elkhart on June 8, 2008, the son of Michael Jackson Jr. and Pepsi Williams. Mykah was a happy child, who greeted teachers and classmates with a smile every morning. He was well-liked by other kids - he had many friends and was a natural leader. Mykah was a math wizard who loved to compete in sports on the playground. He truly loved Pinewood Elementary and saw it as a place where people knew him, loved him, and cared about him. Mykah was incredibly smart and always wanted to do the right thing. He enjoyed swimming, basketball, and he attended New Life Praise and Worship Center in Elkhart. Mykah is survived by his parents, Michael Jackson Jr. and Pepsi (Willie Anthony) Williams; his siblings, Tyrone Murray, Jr., Michael Jackson III, Lamar Jackson, Mykell Jackson, Jeremiah Anthony, Bryce Anthony, and Myangel Jackson; grandparents, Roxanne “Granny” Cox, Michael (Latasha) Jackson Sr., Maverick Williams, and Vincent Miller; great grandparents, Shirley Hudson, Shirley Robinson, and Nancy and Clarence Miller; as well as several aunts, uncles & cousins. Mykah was preceded in death by his grandmother, Valerie Hudson. Funeral Services for Mykah will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 8, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561 where friends may call from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family’s preferred memorial is Elkhart Community Schools, 2720 California Road, Elkhart, IN 46514.
